Useful Tool You Can Use Online

SEO Tools – Page Rank Search

This tool allows you to search Google using any keyword(s) you wish and determine the relevancy of the sites associated with those keywords you searched for. It is free and a reliable tool you can use while finding and selecting which niche you would like to tap into.

To get started, first go to www.seochat.com
On the left panel, select “Page Rank Search” under SEO Tools in bold type.

On the space provided, type the keyword or keyword phrase related to you niche. To get better result, conduct search with “ “.

For instance, you want to create a weight loss program for vegetarian. Then type
“Weight loss for vegetarian” in the space provided, with the “ ”.

Below the space, select “order by page rank” on the drop down menu and Results (100).
Click “Search”.

The reason you are searching with “ ” is to get more accurate results for the people who are searching for the exact terms or keyword phrase as it is.

You might question how helpful is this in selecting your targeted niche, the answer is very simple .

On the upper right corner of search results, you will notice a number of results found in correspondence to your target niche. The smaller the number the better, that means you have not many competing pages. But that is not enough; you need to look at the graphical bar that represents the Page Rank of those particular sites. Look at the top three search results, the smaller the page rank, the higher your chance of dominating that particular niche.

Bottom line: There are two criteria for a profitable niche. First, the number of competing pages, or search result has to be less than 5,000. Second, the page rank for top three search results has to be at most 3 or less.

Work at home: Home Business idea to make money online

Work at home: Home Business idea to make Money Online

It’s the first month of the year and you have “Starting an online business” as one of your resolution. You told yourself you’ve had enough and nobody is going to put a thumb on you anymore.

Many people who want to start a business online end up buying themselves another job. Instead of working for someone else, they have opted to work for themselves.

“Anything you can conceive, you can achieve.” The only limit we have is our perceived limitation.

The followings are 5 baby steps to help you start your online business.

1. The bigger: the why, the smaller: the how.
The first step to start an online business is to ask yourself “Why would I want to start an online business?”. Be it for the financial independence, to eventually replace your full time income or simply to have a side income, find that reason.

2. Define what end result you would like to achieve.
For instance to create certain amount of passive income. Without a goal, you will get to anywhere. This is different from the first step because here you set yourself end goals you need to achieve in order to complete the “why” you’re doing it.

3. Do your research.
An hour of research can save you up to $1000 of operating costs . Read anything you can about the industry you want to get started with, then make decision very carefully. Find a model in the area you wish to pursue. Read articles or books those models wrote and participate in forum. Beware of of paralysis analysis, don’t get engaged in the mind set. Of course you need to do your due diligence in researching, but never expect you will get them all perfect. Take educated action, make informed decisions.

4. Put a plan in place.
Think on ink. Flexibility is not gained by not having a plan. With a plan, we have more time and energy to invest on high value tasks. In your plan, determine what commitment you are willing to make, such as time commitment, financials and etc. Make a list out of all the resources you will need to execute that plan.

5. Set realistic and manageable goal at the beginning.
Raise the bar every time you reach a goal. Act in faith and believe that you will achieve your goal.

There are so many ways you can make money online. You can choose to create and sell your own product, you can sell other people’s products or render professional service online.

Many newbie entrepreneurs made the mistake of jumping too fast into the water and only to realize it’s too early to jump and too late the pull themselves out of the water, and the water is freezing.

Not planning is a plan to failure. End of a plan is the beginning of a new plan. Take calculated risks and massive actions to make your vision a reality.

Outsourcing

If you’re new to business, you may not have heard of the term outsourcing: to give to someone else the task you are to accomplish.

This post is written in order to help you outsource your tasks. This is a small “how-to” guide that will allow you to look for people that can accomplish task for you. Since communication is sometimes difficult and can lead to unwanted results, this guide will aim to prevent you from making various errors beginners do when they first start outsourcing.

For this article, we’ll be using elance.com

To get started, go and signup and account. You’ll have to pay a 10$ “account setup” which will be refunded after a week. This is in order for elance to make sure you are 18 years old and that you will use the system correctly.

When that is done, we can start creating “projects”. In MyELance, Buyer Activity, you’ll find Post new project.

You’re then presented a list of fields to fill. For our first project, we’ll be looking for a virtual assistant (an assistant that can do tasks for us online, such as researches, write email, find prices, etc).

(defaults are in italics)
Posting Title: Virtual Assistant (or whatever you may want to write)
Category: Admin Support
Subcategory: Virtual Assistant
Work Type: Hourly
Budget: (Depends on you, I generally go for under 500$)
Who Can Bid:All Elance providers
Response Deadline: Bidding closes in 14 days
Sealed Bids?: Sealed, proposals are hidden from other providers.
Work Location: Work can be done anywhere.
Use Escrow: Yes, I want to use Elance Escrow service (FREE) for my project.

Now, for the bigger part of the submission, the Work Description. This is where you ask for specific aspects. This is the place where it’s possible for you to fall into the “not descriptive enough” which leads to many bids which aren’t responding to your needs. This mean additionnal filtering which we want to avoid as much as possible.

To help you, use bullet points. What you want, and don’t want. Here’s a list of things you may want to consider talking about.

- Must speak/write in a specific language
- When must the person be available for you (all day, night, morning)
- How you’ll communicate your tasks (phone, email, messenger)
- What type of knowledge and education you are looking for (be as specific as possible)
- What are the task you’ll have them perform
- How much are you willing to pay them
- State that there will be a trial period (and how long you’ll be testing them (2-6 hours))
- How long you expect to work with them
- How much job do you expect to give them (in term of hours)
- What are the period there will be work involved (if you’re looking for seasonal help)

With this list filled up, you are sure to target quite specific needs. The idea here is to make sure that our listing only attracts people that are willing to do a job under condition you’ve listed.

More often than not, people will post on elance with vague description. They’ll be getting a dozen of bids (that may sound good), but most bidders will offer too high prices or will not fulfill specific needs you have because they didn’t know you where expecting it. Remember, in conversation, the explicit is always known by both parties, not the implicit.

With that in mind, I wish you good luck in outsourcing your work, may it be for ghost writing, online researching or for web designing.
